Isabelle Hering

Isabelle completed her entire education in Geneva and spent one year in Berlin where she studied German commercial law. She qualified in 1992 in Geneva and started her career in 1993 as legal counsel with the Swiss Post and Telecom in Bern.
She specialized in intellectual property law and alternative dispute resolution at the London School of Economics where she gained in 1995 a LL.M in International Business Law.
Thereafter she worked for Dr Kamen Troller, a Swiss lawyer specialized in intellectual property law. During two years of practice in Geneva, she gained experience in IP protection and litigation and provided advice to national and international clients.
Isabelle then joined in 1998 the Temenos group in Geneva to hold the new function of legal counsel. In this capacity, she supported any type of legal issues worldwide. This included the creation and consolidation of various agreements and the appropriate protection of Temenos' intellectual property rights in relevant jurisdictions. With the growth of the company and its quotation on the SWX in 2001, Isabelle moved to the position of general counsel and her main activities were concentrated on the management of the legal department and affairs. She continued to frequently travel to negotiate IT agreements with financial institutions worldwide. Working for Temenos has been an everyday challenge, a fantastic experience and has given her the enriching opportunity to work with different cultures and nationalities and to learn to deal with tact and sensitivity and quickly adapt to specific environments.
In 2009 she gained a master degree (LL.M) in International Dispute Settlement and worked as counsel at Lalive in their intellectual property law department for a temporary mission of 6 months.
In 2010 she certified as mediator with the CEDR (Center for Effective Dispute Resolution) in London and joined, as partner, Brown&Page, a reputed dispute resolution law firm in Geneva and Nyon.
